Straight line winds are not your friend said every Omaha resident this month. After the winds died down over 180,000 homes in the Omaha area were without power and many waited days for it to be restored. Tree and property damage on the eastern side of Omaha where trees are the most mature was significant. Storms like these are a reminder to review your property insurance coverages. All policies are NOT created equal. Do you have actual cash value or replacement cost coverage? Does your policy cover tree removal from the home AND haul away-or just removal from the home? Take time to review your coverages this month when you get a chance.
One more reminder that you have probably noticed that since we’ve moved to the Buildium platform for owner distributions you have receive emails notifying you of your deposit amounts. If you’ve had a new move in you might receive more than one of these as we transfer your security deposits to you individually. These emails are system generated. I will always send you a recap but it will probably follow a few days later.
